Interested applicants to the Master of Education Degree in Health Promotion must:
- have an undergraduate degree with a major or minor in a health or allied health academic discipline. If admission is sought by students who have not earned a major or minor in a health related area, either a) up to nine credit hours of HED 600 level course work may be required as part of the degree requirements or b) acceptance into the program may be as a provisional or conditional student with specific course work identified.
- have a minimum overall undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale or 3.00 during their last sixty credits of undergraduate work.
- obtain and complete an application for admission online from the Graduate College, and then submit official transcripts of all colleges and universities attended to the Graduate College.

Applications are processed when all credentials required by both the Graduate College and the Department of Health Promotion have been received and evaluated. The Graduate College staff will mail an official written notification of acceptance. Additionally, the Department of Health Promotion staff will mail a letter identifying the preliminary advisor assigned to initially work with the student. Students must the contact their advisor for an initial appointment.
Graduate Assistantship application letters should be sent directly to the Department of Health Promotion to the attention of the Graduate Coordinator. The application letter should explain the applicant's areas of interest.
